The Clissold Leisure Centre had first opened up way back in 2002, but closed down ever so suddenly in 2003 when bits of the building were falling apart. It was a long time to wait for a swim, and a lot had happened in the meantime - lots of the people who came along on the day of the grand reopening hadn't even been born last time there was a swimming pool open in Stoke Newington.
But on this day that people had so many had longed for there were queues of hopeful swimmers Mums and dads were there with their tiny tots in buggies and pushchairs; there were teenagers all ready to get training for the 2012 Olympics,
